The First Circular of XXXIV Annual Conference of IAAT
The Department of Life Science and Bioinformatics, Assam University, Silchar is planning to organize the XXXIV Annual Conference of the Indian Association for Angiosperm Taxonomy (IAAT) and International Seminar on "Botanical Symphony–Perspectives and Current Challenges in Angiosperm Systematics" (BSPCCAS 2024) from 23-25 November, 2024. The conference aims to bring together diverse community of academicians, scientists, research scholars and students across the country as well as from abroad for sharing their views and promoting opportunities for interaction and collaboration. Deliberations by the galaxies in the field on different aspects of Angiosperm Taxonomy such as floristics and revisionary studies, nomenclature, applied aspects and systematics, phylogeny, ethnobotany and medicinal plants, threats and conservation approaches and many other contemporary topics will open a new vista and promote critical thinking and creativity. The conference will also provide a common platform for researchers and students to showcase their research to the scientific community and exchange their ideas amongst them. This botanical meet will strengthen plant taxonomy and systematics as well and spread the essence of the subject among the future generations.
