Indian Association for Angiosperm Taxonomy

Indian Association for Angiosperm Taxonomy (IAAT) was established in the year 1990 under the Societies REGISTRATION Act XXI of 1860. The Association is managed by an Executive Council of officers elected by its members. Councillors serve a three-year term, as set out in the IAAT Bye-laws. Head Quarters of IAAT is located at Department of Botany, University of Calicut, Kozhikode, Kerala, India. 

On 30 December 2021, Prof. K.S. Manilal received the prestigious Padma Shri award of the Republic of India, from Dr. Narasimhugari T L Reddy, District Collector, Kozhikode. Due to health issues, he was unable to receive the award from the Honb'le President of India.
